Football Recap: Cheraw Comes Up Short at Home Against Arickaree + How To Watch

Cheraw unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Arickaree Bison 57-6 on Friday. The Wolverines were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Austin Wright was nothing short of spectacular for Arickaree: he rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Wright was even better on defense, picking up two sacks, forcing one fumble, and making 20 total tackles.

Coming up, Cheraw is taking a road trip to take on Sierra Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arickaree, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Eads at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
