Softball Recap: Mora Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Mora came out on top against Clayton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Rangers/Rangerettes blew past the Yellowjackets 15-0. The win continues a trend for the Rangers/Rangerettes in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won nine in a row.

Justina Duran was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sonrisa Martinez was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jazzlyn Duran, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Mora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in 14 consecutive contests.
