Central Connecticut III West recap Sept. 26, 2012

Rocky Hill's Chris Young rumbled for the longest rushing play in Central Connecticut III West this season in his game against Berlin last week. Young ran for 77 yards on the play and finished with 212 on the day as his team fell to the Redcoats.

Bloomfield led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on East Catholic.

Rocky Hill's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Troy Syme threw for 29 yards and Tommy Seaver had 29 yards receiving.

The Warhawks' Pedro Roman and Norvel Stewart have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roman has thrown for 242 yards this season, while Stewart, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has six catches for 85 yards. Young from David Coyne's team leads the league in rushing with 322 yards.

Two of the top units in Central Connecticut III West will face off this week when the Terriers take on the Eagles. Rocky Hill's offense has recorded 71 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while East Catholic has permitted only 102 on the year.

Bloomfield made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,067 from 9,291. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 53-14 victory over Steve Calande's team last week.
