Basketball Recap: Sebastian River Starts off Right with Win over Brevard Christian

Sebastian River had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 74-5 victory over the Brevard Christian War Eagles. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Sharks had established a 57-point advantage.

Sebastian River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Destiny Pickard out in front who shot 82% from the field to rack up 21 points along with seven assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ka'Lynn Pound, who went 7-for-12 en route to 15 points and five steals.

Coming up, Sebastian River will head out to face off against Palm Beach Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brevard Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Chapel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 11.
