The Allendale Falcons will head out to face off against the Kenowa Hills Knights at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Allendale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Allendale after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Sparta by a score of 4-2. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bailey Scholma put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Scholma wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lexie Gunter, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Kenowa Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to Covenant Christian.

Allendale's record is now 4-4. As for Kenowa Hills, their record now sits at 1-5.

Everything went Allendale's way against Kenowa Hills when the teams last played back in June of 2016, as Allendale made off with a 9-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
