After flying high against Ida Baker last Friday, Cypress Lake came back down to earth. The Cypress Lake Panthers had to suffer through a 55-28 loss at the hands of the Fort Myers Green Wave. The Panthers have struggled against the Green Wave recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Dominic Ardezzone and his top target Madrid Tucker. Ardezzone threw for 402 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes while Tucker picked up 190 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Tucker torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards. Frederick Jackson was another key player, gaining 117 total yards and two touchdowns.
Cypress Lake now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Fort Myers, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

As for Fort Myers, they are taking a road trip to take on South Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Myers knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully South Fort Myers likes a good challenge.
