Basketball Game Preview: Clovis Wildcats vs. Fort Sumner/House

The Clovis Wildcats will challenge Fort Sumner/House at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Clovis is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Organ Mountain on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Clovis came up short against Organ Mountain, falling 74-53. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Meanwhile, Fort Sumner/House unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Santa Rosa 71-67.

Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Fort Sumner/House, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2.

Clovis strolled past Fort Sumner/House in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 68-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clovis since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
