Softball Recap: Spencer County Bears vs. Shelby County Rockets
After flying high against Cornerstone Christian Academy on Friday, Spencer County came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the Shelby County Rockets by a score of 10-8 on Sunday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Annalee Wood was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.
