Baseball Recap: Oberlin Comes Up Short

Oberlin lost to Columbia back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Phoenix lost 20-6 to the Raiders. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Drew Walter made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Chris Hanmer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Oberlin's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Columbia, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Oberlin is set to face off against their familiar foe Black River at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Columbia will take on rival Clearview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
