Basketball Game Preview: Battle Spartans vs. Fayetteville Bulldogs

The Battle Spartans will square off against the Fayetteville Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Battle's tournament run continued when they took on Hickman on Friday. Battle snuck past Hickman with an 85-79 win.

Keyion Cross had an outrageously good game as he went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points, to go along with five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshun Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fayetteville). They walked away with a 66-53 victory over Maumelle two weeks ago.

Battle's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fayetteville, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
