            Softball Preview: Cannon County Lions vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Cannon County will face off against Grundy County. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yellowjackets  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Cannon County earned  a  5-1 win over Grundy County. The  victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won eight in a row.
 Kathryn Trail spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Anna Wood was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  August Morris, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple and one  RBI.
 Cannon County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. They are 3-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Grundy County dropped their record down to 1-15 with the  defeat, which was their 15th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Cannon County, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
