Football Game Preview: Jefferson Wildcats vs. Spencerville Bearcats

The Jefferson Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Spencerville Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson's offense hasn't had much luck over their past seven games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jefferson is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Fort Loramie on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats were outmatched by the Redskins and fell 40-0.

Meanwhile, Spencerville scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 33-27 to Crestview. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Spencerville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-8.

Jefferson was dealt a bruising 54-6 loss at the hands of Spencerville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 48-6.
