Basketball Game Preview: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. Portsmouth West Senators

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will square off against the Portsmouth West Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lynchburg-Clay has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Lynchburg-Clay is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 73-49 margin over Blanchester on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth West beat Piketon 55-42 on Saturday. Given the Senators' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Redstreaks are ranked 711th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Portsmouth West back to even at 11-11. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
