Baseball Recap: Biloxi Takes a Loss

Biloxi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ocean Springs Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss on Friday.

Biloxi saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Dalferes, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Those two hits gave Dalferes a new career-high.

Biloxi's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Ocean Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Biloxi is set to challenge their familiar foe Gulfport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ocean Springs will face off against rival St. Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
