Softball Recap: Irvin Comes Up Short

Irvin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-1 to the El Paso Tigers. The game marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Irvin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Orrantia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Aleena Flores also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.

Irvin's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for El Paso, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Irvin will be taking part in a tournament against Santa Teresa at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Paso, they will take on Odessa in a tournament on Friday.
