Bishop Gorman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Faith Lutheran, who was ranked tenth at the time (Bishop Gorman was ranked third). The Gaels never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Monday.

Noah Ramos looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nolan Eberwein, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Desert Oasis made sure to put some runs up on the board against Spring Valley on Thursday. The Diamondbacks were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Grizzlies. The matchup marked the Diamondbacks' most dominant victory of the season.

Desert Oasis got a massive performance out of Aidan Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Guillermo, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Desert Oasis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Bishop Gorman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Desert Oasis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Bishop Gorman skirted past Desert Oasis 7-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Gaels repeat their success, or do the Diamondbacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
