Basketball Recap: West Branch Takes a Loss

West Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The contest between them and the Notre Dame Nikes didn't end well, with the West Branch Bears falling 72-57. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Nikes are ranked 77th).

West Branch's record is now 2-8. As for Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

West Branch has already played their next match, a 72-51 win against Camanche on the 10th. As for Notre Dame, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 94-54 victory against Van Buren County on the 10th.
