Corinth Holders had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Rolesville on Thursday. The Pirates blew past the Rams 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won five contests in a row.

Corinth Holders walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-17.

Corinth Holders' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Moore, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Moore a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Corinth Holders was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rolesville only served four.

Despite the loss, Rolesville still got an impressive performance from Payton Woodle, who had eight digs and one assist.

Corinth Holders' record is now 14-7. As for Rolesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Corinth Holders has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Broughton on the 14th. As for Rolesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Millbrook on the 14th.
