Baseball Recap: Suffield Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Williston Northampton last Monday, Suffield Academy came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Millbrook School Mustangs on Monday, falling 12-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Mustangs since May 10, 2023.

Suffield Academy got a good showing from Tyler Catterton, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Suffield Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Catterton, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Suffield Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Millbrook School, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Suffield Academy will head out to square off against Canterbury School at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Millbrook School, they will venture away from home to face off against Wilbraham & Monson Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
