Volleyball Recap: Newaygo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Newaygo had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Tri County Area Vikings by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Ruby Hughes paced Newaygo's offense, picking up eight kills. Hughes got some help from Grace Hughes and her 14 assists. Amaya Lathrop controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Newaygo's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Tri County Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

Newaygo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Orchard View on the 4th. Tri County Area has also already played their next match (against Oakridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
