Football Recap: Otsego Knights vs. Clyde Fliers
Otsego and Clyde squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Otsego had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Clyde Fliers. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Clyde was led to victory by Adam Young and Brayden Olson. Young rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, while Olson picked up 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Olson got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 90 yards. Price Carter did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards.
Otsego now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Clyde, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Otsego does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clyde, they will face off against Ontario at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Ontario: 14.9, Clyde: 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
