Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Kimball's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Kimball proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 27) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bridgeport Bulldogs 52-50. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Bulldogs last Friday, they had to take a 45-42 loss.

Bridgeport's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Levick and Landon Dean. Levick dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards, while Dean went 7 of 9 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayes Watts, who posted ten points.

Kimball has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Kimball has already played their next contest (against St. Patrick's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. After both having extra time off, Bridgeport and Hershey will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Bridgeport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season.
