Basketball Game Preview: Haywood Tomcats vs. East Nashville Magnet Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Haywood Tomcats will jump right back in to play the East Nashville Magnet Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Haywood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully East Nashville Magnet likes a good challenge.

Haywood picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with an 82-75 win over Munford.

Meanwhile, East Nashville Magnet suffered their biggest loss since March 14th on Friday. They were dealt a 73-45 defeat at the hands of Jackson North Side. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Indians are ranked 61st).

Haywood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points per game. As for East Nashville Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
