Southern Alamance was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Western Alamance on Monday. The Patriots' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Patriots have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Southern Alamance's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Western Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Western Alamance will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Alamance will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' game: after the Warriors face off against the Fighting Red Wolves, they'll take on Southern Alamance again at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
