Football Game Preview: Davenport Wolves vs. Eastside Early College Panthers + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Barrett Fallon and Khrisshawn Bryant are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Davenport Wolves will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Eastside Early College Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Davenport will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, Davenport took their matchup with ease, bagging a 46-14 win over Canyon Lake. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won nine games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Caden Scott and Kele Solidum were among the main playmakers for Davenport as the former picked up 116 receiving yards and one TD and the latter rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown. Scott was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Davenport was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 20 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Scott, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Fallon.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Eastside Early College duked it out with LBJ Austin on Thursday. The Panthers took a blow against the Jaguars, falling 58-6. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Eastside Early College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
