Basketball Game Preview: Bellmont Braves vs. Garrett Railroaders

The Bellmont Braves will head out on the road to take on the Garrett Railroaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellmont will be strutting in after a victory while Garrett will be coming in after a loss.

Bellmont is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Norwell, who was ranked 18th at the time (Bellmont was ranked 17th). Bellmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwell on Saturday, sneaking past 47-44.

Meanwhile, Garrett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of Prairie Heights.

Bellmont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Garrett, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Bellmont against Garrett when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 57-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bellmont since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
