Basketball Game Preview: St. Clairsville Red Devils vs. Harrison Central Huskies

The St. Clairsville Red Devils will challenge the Harrison Central Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Clairsville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, St. Clairsville narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Steubenville 71-69. That's two games straight that the Red Devils have won by exactly two points.

Meanwhile, Harrison Central suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Carrollton and fell 66-36. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Warriors are ranked 210th).

This is the second loss in a row for Harrison Central and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for St. Clairsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

St. Clairsville came out on top in a nail-biter against Harrison Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 91-88. Does St. Clairsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harrison Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
