Volleyball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Takes a Loss

Gordon-Rushville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Rapid City Christian Comets. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Comets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-10.

Mikaylee Campbell paced Gordon-Rushville's offense, picking up six kills. Campbell really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11.

Gordon-Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Rapid City Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gordon-Rushville will face off against Morrill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rapid City Christian, they will welcome Sturgis Brown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
