Baseball Recap: Northridge Takes a Loss

Latin hit Northridge with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Romans, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Romans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on April 12th.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Latin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge will welcome Northside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Latin, they will be playing at home against Lake Forest Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Romans' favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Caxys have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
