Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bonita Springs walked away with it. They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 33-0 win over the Island Coast Gators. The Bullsharks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bonita Springs can attribute much of their success to Karli Kalsow, who threw for 38 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Kalsow also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, defending one pass and snagged an interception.

Bonita Springs didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Island Coast to a completion percentage of just 27.3%. The team can thank Caroline Pounsberry for the heroic effort on defense: he picked up 23 receiving yards. Bonita Springs wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 54.5%.

Bonita Springs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Pounsberry, Mia Montalvo, Kalsow, and Kylee Terry picked up one apiece.

The victory (which was Bonita Springs' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Island Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Bonita Springs has already played their next match, a 13-6 defeat against Bishop Verot on the 15th. Island Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
