Basketball Recap: Arthur County Comes Up Short

Arthur County lost against Brady back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arthur County Wolves came up short against the Brady Eagles, falling 52-27. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brady's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lydia Mcgown, who posted 20 points and four steals. Those 20 points gave Mcgown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenlee Fattig, who put up 11 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Arthur County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6. As for Brady, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Arthur County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Garden County at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Brady, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-39 win against South Loup on the 18th.
