Recap: Potomac Wolverines vs. Oxon Hill Clippers
Sadly, the Potomac Wolverines are still looking for their first win of the season after 15 games. They had to suffer through a rough 75-5 loss at the hands of Oxon Hill. Potomac was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-2.
It was another big night for Damia Worthy, who scored 18 points along with eight steals and six assists for Oxon Hill. Worthy is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Williams, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Potomac's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-15. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.9 points per game. As for Oxon Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Potomac didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat vs. Largo on the 8th. Oxon Hill has also already played their next game, a 79-9 win against Fairmont Heights on the 8th.
