Basketball Recap: Central Woodstock Comes Up Short

Central Woodstock and John Marshall squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Central Woodstock had to settle for second. They were dealt a 97-46 loss at the hands of the John Marshall Justices. The Falcons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

John Marshall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Latrell Allmond, who shot 79% from the field to rack up 25 points and three steals. Allmond has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 17 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Henderson, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 20 points and seven assists.

Central Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 24-5. As for John Marshall, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Central Woodstock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Marshall, they have already played their next contest, a 104-53 win against Luray on the 7th.
