Basketball Recap: Orange Glen Takes a Loss

Orange Glen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns, falling 84-25. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1308th, while the Longhorns are ranked 217th).

Rancho Buena Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Justice, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Justice, who posted 12 points and five assists.

Orange Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Rancho Buena Vista, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Orange Glen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-18 loss against Canyon Crest Academy on the 20th. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-47 victory against Poway on the 20th.
