Basketball Recap: Pennfield Comes Up Short

If Pennfield was feeling good fresh off their 37-17 takedown of Charlotte last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pennfield Panthers took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hastings Saxons. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saxons earlier this season, when they won 39-29.

Pennfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Hastings' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 6-14.

Pennfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-22 defeat against Western on the 21st. As for Hastings, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-16 victory against Wellspring Prep on the 19th.
