Basketball Game Preview: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Romeoville Spartans + Official Tickets

The Plainfield Central Wildcats will challenge the Romeoville Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Plainfield Central faced off against Oswego on Tuesday. The Wildcats were beaten by the Panthers 44-14. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Romeoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Bolingbrook, falling 73-22.

Despite the defeat, Romeoville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aaliyah Adams posted 15 points. That was a full 68.2% of the Spartans' points, marking the third time in a row Adams has had more than a third of the team's points.

Romeoville's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Plainfield Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Plainfield Central beat Romeoville 56-45 in their previous meeting back in February. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
