Basketball Recap: All Saints Episcopal School Takes a Loss

After flying high against Holy Cross last Friday, All Saints Episcopal School came back down to earth. The All Saints Episcopal School Patriots fell 44-37 to the Accelerate Christian Warriors on Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, All Saints Episcopal School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Breanna Simons dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Simons a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Mendez, who posted ten points and six steals.

All Saints Episcopal School's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Accelerate Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-6 record.

All Saints Episcopal School will be playing in front of their home fans against Kingdom Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. All Saints Episcopal School is facing Kingdom Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Kingdom Prep Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Accelerate Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
