Baseball Recap: Dakota Valley Has No Trouble Against Elk Point-Jefferson

Dakota Valley won the last time they faced Elk Point-Jefferson and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers blew past the Huskies 10-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by eight runs or more this season.

Grady Ramos made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Ramos wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Carter, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Carter has brought in this season. Jake Pick was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Dakota Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Dakota Valley will take on Vermillion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elk Point-Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
