Basketball Recap: Crown Point Triumphs

If Hobart wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crown Point, they should've done a better job of containing Ava Richie. The Crown Point Bulldogs breezed by the Hobart Brickies to the tune of 60-24 on Monday thanks in part to Richie, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Menchaca, who earned six points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (two).

Crown Point's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Hobart, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crown Point will welcome Hammond Morton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hammond Morton will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Crown Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hobart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
