Basketball Recap: Johnson Jaguars vs. Clemens Buffaloes
Johnson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 64-51 to the Clemens Buffaloes. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 145th).
Clemens' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quentin Proctor led the charge by going 6 of 8 en route to 14 points. Proctor is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Bell, who posted 13 points and five assists.
Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Clemens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-9.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing East Central the next time they take the court. Johnson will head out to face East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Clemens will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
