Baseball Game Preview: Monmouth Academy Mustangs vs. Oak Hill Raiders

The Monmouth Academy Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Oak Hill Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Hill took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Monmouth Academy, who comes in off a win.

Monmouth Academy barely beat St. Dominic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Saints on Monday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Lisbon.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Monmouth Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Monmouth Academy beat Oak Hill 8-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
