Preview: Orme Warriors vs. Tri City Prep Panthers
After three games on the road, Orme is heading back home. They will take on the Tri City Prep Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri City Prep took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Orme, who comes in off a win.
A well-balanced attack led Orme over Leupp Boarding in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Orme enjoyed a cozy 45-29 win over Leupp Boarding.
Orme can attribute much of their success to Preston Tisi, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Tisi scored 15 or more points. John Collins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Tri City Prep's good fortune finally ran out last Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 44-19 defeat at the hands of Wickenburg Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tri City Prep has scored all season.
Orme pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri City Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Everything went Orme's way against Tri City Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Orme made off with a 61-40 win. Will Orme repeat their success, or does Tri City Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
