Football Game Preview: Youngker Roughriders vs. ALA - West Foothills Guardians + How To Watch

The Youngker Roughriders are taking a road trip to challenge the ALA - West Foothills Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Youngker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.4 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Youngker came up short against Deer Valley and fell 28-21. The loss continues a trend for the Roughriders in their meetings with the Skyhawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Youngker had strong showings from Anthonee Eeds, who picked up 60 receiving yards and two scores, and Izaak Vargas, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns.

Youngker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Tremar Green was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself. Youngker got some further help from Green: he made eight total tackles and snagged two interceptions.

Meanwhile, ALA - West Foothills beat St. Mary's 24-14 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Guardians.

Youngker better keep an eye on Kenyon Rosenthal. He was instrumental in ALA - West Foothills' win, rushing for 109 yards and a pair of TDs. Rosenthal's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

ALA - West Foothills' record now sits at 6-4. As for Youngker, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
