Drew Snyder and CJ Weaver secure win for Dalton

Recap: Dalton Catamounts vs. Hiram Hornets

Even though the Dalton Catamounts have not done well against the Hiram Hornets recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Dalton skirted past Hiram 59-56. With that victory, Dalton brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Dalton was led to victory by Drew Snyder and CJ Weaver. Snyder scored 19 points along with nine rebounds, while Weaver dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. RJ Storey was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.

Dalton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Hiram, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dalton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northwest Whitfield at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Hiram, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Hiram is ranked 95th).
