Southmoreland had won four straight road games and Jackson Mickens did his part to make it five on Friday. The Scotties blew past the Yough Cougars 41-0 for which the team can thank Mickens, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Southmoreland's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Yough, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Southmoreland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 10th. As for Yough, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 55-7 loss against Elizabeth Forward on the 10th.
