Baseball Recap: Spring Mountain Takes a Loss

Spring Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-7 to the Beatty Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 on Tuesday.

Spring Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Beatty, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Mountain will take on Liberty Baptist Academy at 2:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Beatty, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mountain View Christian at 1:00 p.m. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.25 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
