Basketball Recap: Dixie Victorious

Dixie saw some tournament action on Monday. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over the West-Oak Warriors.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harry Burgess, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Winegard, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 10 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.

The win got Dixie back to even at 1-1. As for West-Oak, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Dixie will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Ninety Six at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West-Oak, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Stephens County at 7:30 p.m.
