Basketball Game Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Monument Valley Mustangs

The Page Sand Devils will head out on the road to take on the Monument Valley Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Page will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Page can't be too worried about heading out to take on Monument Valley: they just beat Chinle at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Page managed a 49-45 win over Chinle on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Monument Valley on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Tuba City with a sharp 67-46 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Mustangs had established a 20 point advantage.

Page is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Monument Valley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.

Page strolled past Monument Valley in their previous meeting on January 9th by a score of 55-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Page since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
