Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeland Titans vs. Brandon Bulldogs

The Ridgeland Titans will square off against the Brandon Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Ridgeland: 3.2, Brandon: 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Last Friday, Ridgeland came up short against Clinton and fell 9-4. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Arrows: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Brandon made sure to put some runs up on the board against Gatewood on Saturday. Brandon blew past Gatewood 13-3. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Tyler Martin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Tre McQueen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tre Adcox, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Brandon's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Ridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
