Baseball Recap: Chicago Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

St. Laurence hit Chicago Mt. Carmel with a nine-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Caravan fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 12-11. The Caravan haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Kolin Adams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Pancho Vazquez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Chicago Mt. Carmel's record is now 16-10. As for St. Laurence, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
